Optional Clinic Observation Externship: This option is designed to supplement the classroom lecture series. Upon acceptance into this one-on-one externship, practitioners spend intensive days in the classroom, followed by up to a 3-hour clinical observation shift with Dr. Eileen Han in her San Diego clinic. Practitioners then return to their own clinics to practice and fine-tune their skills before their next training session.
A minimum 3-hour shift is recommended, however, participants may elect to attend an unlimited number of shift hours. Note that all shift hours may be applied to the 18-40 hour Internship required for premier / Executive Practitioner Balance Method certification.

Yes, these classes have pre-requisites.
Meridian Conversion – Pre-requisites: Core Foundation Track or Module 1
Module 3 – Pre-requisites: Core Foundation Track + Meridian Conversion or Module 2
Advanced Track – Pre-requisite: Core Foundation Track.
How will the classes be transmitted?
All classes will be live-streamed via the Zoom app. The link to join the class will be sent a few days before the class.
Will there any video recordings offered after the live-streaming?
At this time, no video recordings will be offered after the class.
What time do classes start and finish?
Classes start at 7:30 am and finish at 3:30 pm (PST / UTC -7).
Here are a few different timezone references:
• US Eastern Time: 10:30 am — 6:30 pm
• London: 3:30 pm — 11:30 pm
• Europe: 4:30 pm — 12:30 am (+1)
Eileen Yue-Ling Han, PhD, LAc.
An exclusive, lifelong disciple of her Shifu (master) Dr. Richard Tan, Eileen Han is passionately dedicated to continuing the practice, inspiration, and influence of the Balance Method, his extremely effective, world-renowned acupuncture methodology.
In 1999, Eileen began her medical studies and an apprenticeship in Dr. Tan’s San Diego, California clinic. As his student, she honed her implementation of the Balance Method, eventually becoming one of the top 5% of leading practitioners of the methodology worldwide. Over the past 15+ years, Eileen has continually honed her skill into a healing art, bringing relief and wellness to countless, thankful patients through her clinic practice.
Eileen holds a PhD in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from American Liberty University in Newport Beach, CA and a Master’s Degree in Oriental Medicine from the University of East/West Medicine in Sunnyvale, California. She supplements her formal and practical education with continuing studies in Ba Zi and Chinese face reading.
