60 year old male complains of heart palpitations and tachycardia. He experiences palpitations about 10 times per day. Though he was recently diagnosed with atrial fibrillation, he has not yet started taking any western medications for it. He wears a heart monitor that is linked to an app on his phone; the monitor records indicate a higher incidence of atrial fibrillation while he is asleep. On average, he wakes up to urinate 5 to 6 times each night. He tends to wake up to urinate more frequently on the nights with higher incidences of atrial fibrillation.
