Our volunteer initiative was founded to fulfill the calling of Dr. Eileen Han, who was influenced by her late mentor, master, and creator of the Balance Method of acupuncture, Dr. Richard Tan. Eileen donates her time and energies to this initiative and invites you to join us in this proactive effort to bring health to as many people as possible.
Formerly under the name of Worldwide Healthcare Initiative (WHI), our volunteers have had the privilege of providing care through humanitarian medical missions in Costa Rica, Nepal, Madagascar, Peru, and Vietnam.
We depend on donations to cover costs associated to the healthcare services we provide during our volunteer brigades. This includes supplies such as needles, alcohol, gloves, among others. Your donations will also contribute to the planning and organization of future events and clinical services to be offered.
We are primarily looking for Balance Method Acupuncture practitioners who have completed at minimum Module 1 and Module 2 trainings to join our missions. Licensed professionals and advanced students from healthcare fields such as Traditional Chinese Medicine, Conventional Medicine, Naturopathic Medicine, Chiropractic and Physical Therapy, and Psychology and Counseling, are welcome to apply, but ideally have the basic knowledge in Balance Method Acupuncture.
